      秋季的姑蘇城,美景數(shù)不勝。天平山秋色瀲滟,絢麗的紅楓讓人流連忘返;定慧寺鐘鼓齊鳴,金色的銀杏讓人癡迷沉醉。

      It is Autumn in the city of Suzhou, with the maple leaves turning a bold red and fiery orange on Tianping Mountain, complementing the sounds of the pounding drums from Dinghui Temple.


      在這如詩(shī)如畫的季節(jié),捧一本好書,感受文字的魅力,體會(huì)人情的溫暖。

      Reading is the basic way in which we gain knowledge. Reading can develop us into inquirers and knowledgeable learners. In this way, we can meet the needs of our students and meet the goals of our

      Reading Lays the Foundation for Lifelong Learning


      晨誦暮讀,已成為我們孩子早晚的習(xí)慣。晨曦中,閱讀為我們開(kāi)啟新的一天;燈光下,閱讀給我們帶來(lái)夜色的美好安詳。

      We have encouraged students to read at both the beginning and the end of the day. Morning reading helps students settle into their school day, while evening reading helps students decompress from full day’s study.



      書山有路勤為徑,學(xué)海無(wú)涯苦作舟。

      把時(shí)間花在讀書上,充分地實(shí)現(xiàn)了時(shí)間的價(jià)值。排隊(duì)打飯的時(shí)候,列隊(duì)乘車的時(shí)候,課間休息期間,自習(xí)放松之時(shí)。

      Diligence is the path to the mountain of knowledge, persistence is the boat on the endless sea of learning.

      Students are encouraged to spend valuable waiting time reading and expanding their learning: waiting in the canteen line; on the bus rides to and from school; and if they have nothing else to do during break time.

      Reading Gives a Chance to Explore New Worlds


      《春》讓我們?cè)趯?duì)春天甜美的回味中懂得珍惜時(shí)間,要努力為自己創(chuàng)造一個(gè)充滿希望的春天;《秋天的懷念》讓我們認(rèn)識(shí)了一位平凡而偉大的母親,她是堅(jiān)強(qiáng)、慈愛(ài)、勇敢的化身;《散步》讓我們開(kāi)啟了一場(chǎng)心的旅程,在南國(guó)春天的田野上收獲家的溫暖,感受責(zé)任的力量;《再塑生命的人》讓我們從海倫凱勒頑強(qiáng)地拼搏中找尋到了面對(duì)困難的勇氣……

      “Spring” tells us to cherish the time we have, to make the best of the season, and see every day as an opportunity to learn and grow. “The Memory of Autumn” presents an ordinary mother as a symbol of kindness, persistence, and courage. “To Stroll” takes us on an emotional journey through the fields of the south of China, meeting the strength and hospitality of the families as they celebrate the spring season. “Helen Keller” exemplifies courage to face any difficulties with her story of struggle and overcoming immense obstacles.  


      “我寄愁心與明月,隨君直到夜郎西”,李白面對(duì)離別時(shí)如此的瀟灑,正所謂后會(huì)有期、來(lái)日方長(zhǎng);“正是江南好風(fēng)景,落花時(shí)節(jié)又逢君”,杜甫可以忘記自己的悲劇,有的只是故交相逢的喜悅;“晴空一鶴排云上,便引詩(shī)情到碧霄”,劉禹錫在蕭瑟的秋天依舊滿懷壯志與豪情;“夜闌臥聽(tīng)風(fēng)吹雨,鐵馬冰河入夢(mèng)來(lái)”,陸放翁在生命的最后一刻依然不忘初心,滿腔報(bào)國(guó)的熱情……

      “I can tell all my worries to the moon, and it will be able to watch over me no matter where I am”. When Li Bai faced these kinds of situations, he was able to write his mood into his poems naturally and elegantly, giving him the unofficial title of the king of poetry.

      “When the southern landscape is at its best, we will meet again amid the floating flowers”. Du Fu might never forget about the sadness in his life, but his lines here can give him the hope to see his friend again and recollect the best of times.

      “In a clear sky, the cranes fly high above, the poets think of the sky above”. You can sense Liu Yuxi’s ambition and expectations through the cool autumn season.

      “Lying late at night, I heard the storm from the armed horses. I rode to the ice-cold river that froze. I dreamed of you and they were no more”. Even at the end of his life, Lu You still persisted in his goal and in his loyalty to his nation.

      Reading at Home Helps to Build Familial Bonds


      閱讀,是人一生的習(xí)慣。閱讀,從學(xué)校延伸到家庭。和孩子共同開(kāi)啟一段美好的閱讀光陰,陪孩子共賞一篇優(yōu)秀的美文佳作。談?wù)勼w會(huì)、聊聊心得。父母是孩子最好的老師,父母是孩子最近的榜樣。親子共讀,讓家長(zhǎng)們找到和孩子心與心的交流,讓家長(zhǎng)們參與孩子成長(zhǎng)的過(guò)程。

      Reading is a lifelong habit. Reading can extend from school to the family. Start a reading time with your children and accompany them in taking time to appreciate an interesting passage or article. Discuss and debate your different understanding to help your children learning more about it, and maybe you can learn from them too! Communication can be forged and supported by shared reading, and can allow parents a larger role in their children’s academic growth and development. Parents can set an excellent example for their children by reading together, demonstrating lifelong learning.



      在閱讀中獲得心靈的體驗(yàn),在閱讀中發(fā)現(xiàn)世界的美好。

      閱讀需要勤學(xué)好問(wèn),閱讀能夠知識(shí)淵博。
