經(jīng)過全體師生的共同努力,

12月4日-8日，由總校長李春雷先生帶領(lǐng)的蘇城外國語學(xué)校代表團(tuán)對(duì)美國幾所友好學(xué)校進(jìn)行了考察訪問。此次訪問旨在落實(shí)姊妹學(xué)校項(xiàng)目和國際高中合作項(xiàng)目，為我校國際高中學(xué)生沖刺美國名校提前搭建好平臺(tái)。代表團(tuán)一行重點(diǎn)考察了一所位于康州首府東哈特福德的IB高中——Connecticut IB Academy（CIBA），雙方達(dá)成了重要共識(shí)，并簽署了合作備忘錄。至此，蘇城外國語學(xué)校與康涅狄格IB高中正式成為姊妹學(xué)校。

From 4th to 8th December 2019, General Principal Mr. David Li and his delegation paid a friendly visit to a few partner schools in the U.S. Aiming at implementing the partner school project and building the platform for our international senior high school students to help them get admitted into top universities of the U.S. The delegation focused their visit on an IB high school in East Hartford, the metropolis of Connecticut—Connecticut IB Academy (CIBA). An important agreement was reached, and MOU was signed by both sides. Till now, Soochow Foreign Language School has become officially the sister school of CIBA.

12月16日-17日，Yoon Ah Lee女士代表國際文憑組織，來我校進(jìn)行了為期兩天的PYP幼小項(xiàng)目咨詢?cè)L問。Yoon Ah Lee女士就PYP相關(guān)議題，包括PYP課程設(shè)置、學(xué)習(xí)者社區(qū)構(gòu)建、對(duì)學(xué)校語言政策的理解和支持、評(píng)估政策和PYP推行以來的機(jī)遇和挑戰(zhàn)等多項(xiàng)內(nèi)容，與校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、老師、學(xué)生、家長進(jìn)行了深入交流。總校長李春雷先生表示，蘇城外國語學(xué)校對(duì)于PYP授權(quán)的決心堅(jiān)定不移，并將認(rèn)真采納顧問提出的建議，完善項(xiàng)目標(biāo)準(zhǔn)與實(shí)施細(xì)則，制定出切實(shí)可行的實(shí)施方案，為順利獲得授權(quán)提供強(qiáng)有力的保障！

On 16th to 17th December 2019, Ms. Yoon Ah Lee from IBO conducted a 2-day PYP consultation visit in our school. Leaders, teachers, students and parents openly spoke about the school philosophy, the learning community, the challenges and opportunities in the implementation of PYP. The school is extremely inspired by her positive feedback and more determined for the authorization. We will take the recommendations and make serious action plan to better meet the programme standards and practices!

12月21日，蘇城外國語學(xué)校舉辦了冬季大型招聘會(huì)，在學(xué)校收到的2536份簡歷中，經(jīng)過人力辦層層篩選，嚴(yán)格把關(guān)，200多名來自全國各地的優(yōu)秀青年教師獲得現(xiàn)場(chǎng)考核機(jī)會(huì)，競(jìng)聘48個(gè)崗位。應(yīng)聘人員中，有來自全國各地教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的名特優(yōu)教師，還有畢業(yè)于賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)、康奈爾大學(xué)、紐約大學(xué)、愛丁堡大學(xué)、香港中文大學(xué)、南京大學(xué)等名校的精英人才！選擇改變命運(yùn)！新的一年，我們期待更多志同道合的人才一同加入蘇城外大家庭！

On December 21,SCFLS held the 2019 Winter Job Fair. Of the 2,536 resumes received and screened by HR, 200 outstanding young teachers from all over the country stood out to compete for 48 positions.Among the candidates, there were experienced teachers from all over the country, as well as excellent graduates from famous universities like University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, New York University, Edinburgh University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanjing University and etc.! Choices change destiny. The bell for the New Year is about to ring. In 2020, we look forward to seeing you！

在剛剛落幕的2019年蘇州市青少年創(chuàng)意編程競(jìng)賽中，蘇城外國語學(xué)校6名參賽學(xué)生在1500多名選手中脫穎而出，表現(xiàn)出色，取得了傲人的成績！五年級(jí)1班于倬、高紫函在“新中國成立70周年成果展”創(chuàng)意編程賽項(xiàng)目中均榮獲一等獎(jiǎng)，八年級(jí)2班陸致成在“AI技術(shù)與運(yùn)用”編程能力現(xiàn)場(chǎng)賽項(xiàng)目榮獲一等獎(jiǎng)。除此以外，今年我校學(xué)生相繼參加了第11屆上海模型節(jié)競(jìng)賽，2019年江蘇省青少年科技模型大賽人工智能專項(xiàng)賽蘇州選區(qū)等多項(xiàng)賽事，屢獲佳績！

In the 2019 Teenager Creative Programming Competition of Suzhou, 6 students from Soochow Foreign Language School stood out. In the project of “70th Anniversary for the Founding of New China Exhibition”, Yu Zhuo, Gao Zihan from Class 1 Year 5 won the first prize in their first ever competition. In the on-site competition “AI Technology and Application”, Lu Zhicheng from Class 2 Year 8 won the first prize. Apart from this competition, our students also participated in many competitions such as the 11th Model Competition in Shanghai, 2019 Teenager AI Model Competition of Jiangsu Province, Suzhou Division. 

蘇城外國語學(xué)校模擬聯(lián)合國社團(tuán)8名學(xué)生代表參加了第八屆泛長江三角洲高中生模擬聯(lián)合國大會(huì)。參會(huì)同學(xué)經(jīng)過兩天的精彩討論，五個(gè)議題的唇槍舌戰(zhàn)，收獲頗豐。國際高中部夏奕凝同學(xué)在參賽期間踴躍發(fā)言、突破自我、彰顯風(fēng)采，綜合運(yùn)用自己ATL課堂上學(xué)到的自我管理技能、社交技能、交流技能、思考技能、探究技能，憑借清晰的結(jié)構(gòu)、嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)倪壿嫛⒕珳?zhǔn)的用詞獲得了最佳立場(chǎng)文件寫作獎(jiǎng)。

Some representatives of the SCFLSMUN (a total of 8 students) participated in the 8th Pan Yangtze River Delta High School Model United Nations Conference. All participants pay, gain, and grow in this conference.During the competition, Ellin Xia spoke actively with a strong national identity, to break through herself, to show her style, and to comprehensively use her self-management skills, social skills, communication skills, thinking skills, and research skills learned in her ATL class. She won the Best Position Paper Award for her clear structure, rigorous logic and precise use of words.

圣誕節(jié)當(dāng)天，蘇城外國語學(xué)校處處洋溢著節(jié)日的喜悅。國際幼兒園圣誕派對(duì)MIX冬至歡慶，只“味”你而來，期待值滿滿的慶?；顒?dòng)，讓寶貝們嗨翻天；小學(xué)部圣誕老人空降校園，“全納全人”墻化身網(wǎng)紅打卡地，中學(xué)部各班特色慶?；顒?dòng)火熱開展，寓教于樂，多元課堂樂不停！

At Christmas, SCFLS was filled with the festive atmosphere. The International Kindergarten held the party to celebrate this festival. The Santa Clause also visited our primary school to give out gifts. Take a Wechat-worthy photo in front of our “Inclusive Holistic” wall in the main hall. All classes organized various celebrations to engage the students!

為許孩子們一場(chǎng)完美的藝術(shù)之旅，蘇城外國語學(xué)校迎來了第二屆“玩美”藝術(shù)作品展。本次藝術(shù)展一共征集作品1351件，內(nèi)容涵蓋了書畫、木工、3D打印、陶藝、攝影等題材，本著高要求、優(yōu)水平的原則，藝術(shù)中心評(píng)審小組精挑細(xì)選，最終有168件作品入選。入選作品形式新穎，風(fēng)格鮮明，稚趣盎然，都出自同學(xué)們的原創(chuàng)。作品凝聚著同學(xué)們的智慧和創(chuàng)造力，展現(xiàn)出大家對(duì)生活的熱愛和對(duì)藝術(shù)的追求。

Although winter has come, SCFLS still ushered in the second “Awesome Art” exhibition to offer kids a wonderful journey to arts, which helped to enlighten the whole campus. In total, 1,351 works have been collected, with 168 finally selected out based on the rigorous criteria. With great devotion from the students, and their passion for both life and art, the artworks on show this time are innovative in form, and distinctive in style.

為增強(qiáng)學(xué)生對(duì)音樂文化的體驗(yàn)，結(jié)合SCFLS“全納全人”的發(fā)展目標(biāo)，蘇城外國語學(xué)校開展了以“音愛而生 感恩有你”為主題的音樂節(jié)活動(dòng)。內(nèi)容包括戲曲模仿秀、“舞林大會(huì)”、樂器演奏、千人畫卷、音樂電競(jìng)大賽等環(huán)節(jié)，各活動(dòng)環(huán)環(huán)相扣，或青春動(dòng)感，或意蘊(yùn)十足，同學(xué)們紛紛報(bào)名體驗(yàn)，現(xiàn)場(chǎng)互動(dòng)性強(qiáng)，氣氛熱烈，為忙碌的學(xué)習(xí)生活增添了靈動(dòng)的一筆。

Be prepared to experience our music culture stemmed from school development goal-- holistic and inclusive, here comes Music festival in SCFLS. Our festival is designed to have suitable activities for everyone, from imitation show, dance competition to music e-sports competition that got each student ready for a brand new day.
