In 1920, Scholastic was founded in New York, the U.S. It is known as the largest children’s book and multimedia software publisher.

Scholastic has always been devoted to developing children’s English education for almost 90 years, and is entrusted with the promotion of literacy through books for millions of kids of all ages and reading levels. Its mission is built on helping children learn to read and love to read. 

為貫徹落實(shí)蘇城外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)校語(yǔ)言政策的要求，我校特別與Scholastic合作，正式全面引進(jìn)藍(lán)思分級(jí)閱讀體系，激發(fā)學(xué)生的閱讀興趣，豐富學(xué)生的課余生活。

In order to implement the requirements listed in the SCFLS Language Policy, our school officially introduces the Lexile Framework in cooperation with Scholastic, aiming at inspiring students’ reading interests and enriching their after-class life.

Take the Literacy Pro Test

首先，通過(guò)一個(gè)時(shí)長(zhǎng)約為20~30分鐘的測(cè)試，即可獲得專(zhuān)業(yè)的藍(lán)思值報(bào)告，并根據(jù)相應(yīng)藍(lán)思值，推薦閱讀書(shū)單。

First, the students can get a professional report on their Lexile level after a test lasting for 20~30 minutes. The recommended reading list can thus be created based on the Lexile level.

豐富的原版好書(shū)  Abundant books

目前，立博在線(xiàn)圖書(shū)館里有近千本英文原版電子書(shū)，繪本、小說(shuō)、章節(jié)書(shū)、科普系列、人物傳記等應(yīng)有盡有。

At present, LPL offers thousands of e-books including picture books, novels, fiction, non-fiction, biography, etc. 

優(yōu)質(zhì)原聲音頻  Authentic Audio

在LPL里面，有一半的電子書(shū)都配有原聲音頻，發(fā)音標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，重點(diǎn)詞匯可以單獨(dú)點(diǎn)開(kāi)發(fā)音，并配有詳細(xì)釋義和例句。

Half of the e-books offered in LPL are equipped with audios with standard pronunciation. The key words and phrases could be pronounced separately with specific definitions and examples offered. 

專(zhuān)業(yè)記錄  Professional Tracking System

隨時(shí)記錄學(xué)生的閱讀本數(shù)，閱讀字?jǐn)?shù)和閱讀時(shí)間。

The completed books, words read and time spent of students could be recorded at any time. 

一目了然的閱讀效果  Clear Reading Result

對(duì)于老師們來(lái)說(shuō)，可以通過(guò)“后臺(tái)”輕松布置閱讀書(shū)目給學(xué)生，更能查看詳細(xì)的數(shù)據(jù)報(bào)告。

Teachers can assign books to the students, and can check the detailed reports of each student through teacher’s platform. 

鼓勵(lì)藍(lán)思值進(jìn)步最大的學(xué)生、藍(lán)思值一直名列前茅的學(xué)生，給他們發(fā)小獎(jiǎng)狀；

Certificates will be awarded to the students who have the most progress and who have consistently ranked among the top in Lexile level.

學(xué)生每讀完一本書(shū)，都會(huì)有相應(yīng)的積分給到學(xué)生，老師可以獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)獲得最高積分，也就是閱讀字?jǐn)?shù)最多的學(xué)生，來(lái)鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生多讀；

Every time the students complete a book, they will get corresponding credits. Teachers could award the students having the highest credits to encourage others.

獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)測(cè)試通過(guò)率最多的學(xué)生，鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生不僅要多讀，還要理解文章的內(nèi)容。

Those who pass the quizzes the most will also be awarded, so as to encourage students to comprehend the content. 

一位與病毒搏斗的年輕患者，仍能專(zhuān)心讀下一本近600頁(yè)的政治思想史。閱讀，是苦難中的一束光。

A patient who is struggling with the novel coronavirus pneumonia could still concentrate on reading a book of 600 pages. Reading lights up the darkest time.
