2019 RAISE Asian International Schools and Education Conference has come to a successful end. This two-day conference gathered guests and school representatives from over 20 countries. Topics such as the development trend of international schools, management and operation, community construction, science and technology in education, individualized education, and etc. were discussed, opening up a new perspective toward international education with the latest educational philosophy and information.
10月25-27日,蘇城外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)??傂iL(zhǎng)李春雷先生率領(lǐng)團(tuán)隊(duì),受邀前往深圳參加RAISE2019亞洲國(guó)際學(xué)校大會(huì)。
The General Principal of Soochow Foreign Language School, David Li, and his delegation was invited to attend 2019 RAISE Asian International Schools and Education Conference held in Shenzhen from 25th to 27th October.
李春雷總校長(zhǎng)作為特邀嘉賓參與論壇演講,以“回歸本質(zhì) 遵循規(guī)律 靜待花開(kāi)”為主題,發(fā)表了具有深度而又觀點(diǎn)鮮明的演講。
As the special guest of the conference, Mr. David Li was invited to deliver a insightful speech themed at “Retrospect to the nature of education—making inclusion happen in learning”.

How can our general principal’s speech win such wide recognition at this international conference with over 1,500 educators and more than 80 influential figures in the area of international education?
演講開(kāi)始,李春雷總校長(zhǎng)以豐子愷的漫畫《剪冬青》為例,形象地指出“標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化”教育對(duì)學(xué)生個(gè)性發(fā)展的扼殺,提醒大家思考“教育的本質(zhì)是什么?”
The nature of education is to admit and respect differentiation. As early as 2,500 years ago, Confucius already clarified its nature, which is to teach students according to their aptitude and to provide education for all people without discrimination (inclusive).
公平性:每一個(gè)孩子都有均等的學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì),得到平等對(duì)待。
差異性:每一個(gè)孩子都能得到老師的關(guān)注,得到尊重,教學(xué)內(nèi)容和學(xué)習(xí)方法、以及資源配置和評(píng)估是不一樣的。
有效性:每一個(gè)學(xué)生已有的知識(shí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)和學(xué)習(xí)認(rèn)知能力都能得到重視,每一個(gè)孩子都得到提升。
Equality: Each child has an equal access to learning, and should be equally treated.
Differentiation: Each child can get attention and respect from their teachers, tailoring the teaching contents, learning approaches, resource allocation and assessment to every student’s needs.
Effectiveness: The prior knowledge and cognitive learning ability of each child can be valued, so that every child can make improvements in their learning.

The school curriculum adopts National curriculum as the core, guided by the IB educational philosophy and featured with Cambridge Pathway and International Carousel Courses. The latest IB official document focuses on students’ agency, self-efficacy, voice, choice and ownership. The key for inclusive and holistic education is to solve teachers’ problems of promoting agency and self-efficacy, while it is also of vital importance to let teachers have voice, choice and ownership.
在圓桌討論會(huì)上,總校長(zhǎng)與他的老師——倫敦大學(xué)學(xué)院教育學(xué)院顧問(wèn)Robin先生等5位嘉賓圍繞“反思全納教育”為話題展開(kāi)探討并分享了各自的觀點(diǎn),為各位參會(huì)者打開(kāi)了新思路。
During the round-table discussion, General Principal Mr. David Li hared his unique idea with Ms. Marta, principal of Western Academy of Beijing, Mr. Robin, consultant of the School of Education in UCL, and other 3 guests, focusing on “Reflections on inclusive education”, which spark new ideas of the participants.
在本次論壇大會(huì)期間,總校長(zhǎng)率領(lǐng)團(tuán)隊(duì)就IB國(guó)際教育發(fā)展、姊妹學(xué)校建立、國(guó)內(nèi)外課程融合創(chuàng)新等話題,與芬蘭、新加坡、加拿大、香港等國(guó)際學(xué)校校長(zhǎng)進(jìn)行了廣泛接觸與深入交流。
During the sessions of the conference, the General Principal Mr. David Li and the delegates of our school had frequent interactions with the principals from Finland, Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong on the development of IB education, Partnership between sister schools, and the integration and innovation of international curriculums and the national curriculum.

“連接改變教育”,兩天的大會(huì)結(jié)束后,總校長(zhǎng)一行先后參觀走訪了深圳當(dāng)?shù)氐膰?guó)際學(xué)校。
