一名國際教育工作者的成長故事
今天,我想和大家說一說我作為一名國際教育工作者的成長故事。
Today, I’d like to share my story of being an educator in the field of international education.
研究生畢業(yè)以后,我選擇成為了一名國際高中教師。我接觸的第一個國際課程是加拿大的BC課程,除了學(xué)習(xí)BC省的課程文件,我還帶著學(xué)生們前往香港的一所加拿大國際學(xué)校進(jìn)行實(shí)地學(xué)習(xí),系統(tǒng)研究BC課程的設(shè)置與實(shí)施。從教的第二個學(xué)年起,我便開始正式接觸IBDP項目、劍橋項目、安大略省的課程以及英國大學(xué)預(yù)科項目,也就是那時起,IB先進(jìn)的教育理念、完善的課程體系、詳細(xì)的課程文件、豐富的研究資源深深地吸引了我,也改變了我。作為一名IB 教育者,我必須是一名終身學(xué)習(xí)者,所以我開始系統(tǒng)研究并學(xué)習(xí)IB的官方文件與相關(guān)書籍,同時我還積極參加了IB的各種線上線下工作坊、job-a-like、教育論壇,獲得了IB Coordination,Administration,ATL,EE,TOK,Assessment in DP Learning,English B等官方培訓(xùn)證書。此外,在學(xué)校的支持下,我還前往澳大利亞、美國和加拿大的IB姊妹學(xué)校進(jìn)行實(shí)地學(xué)習(xí),系統(tǒng)學(xué)習(xí)研究IB項目實(shí)施與升學(xué)指導(dǎo)。
After graduation, I chose to begin my career as an international senior high school English teacher and homeroom teacher. The first international course that I became familiar with is the BC courses of Canada. Apart from learning some relevant documents, I also led my students to enroll in a field trip in a Canadian international school in Hong Kong, where I systematically learned about the setting and implementation of the BC courses. Since my second school year, I have officially engaged in the IBDP program, Cambridge program, Ontario courses and IFD program. The advanced educational philosophy, impeccable curriculum, detailed course guides, and resourceful information attracted and changed me a lot since then. As an IB educator, I’ve been embarking on researching and learning the IB official documents and books due to the advocacy of being a lifelong learner. Meanwhile, I also took an active participation in all kinds of IB online and offline workshops, job-a-like, education forum, etc. with certificates such as IB Coordination, Administration, ATL, EE, TOK, Assessment in DP Learning, English B achieved. With the support and trust of the school, I also went to IB partner schools in Australia, the U.S., Canada for further studying the implementation of IB program and university counseling.
通過兩輪DP項目授權(quán)實(shí)施,我積累了豐富的DP項目管理經(jīng)驗,此外,我還具有豐富的劍橋項目、中加雙文憑課程項目、英國大學(xué)預(yù)科項目的課程管理經(jīng)驗,而我的學(xué)生們也成功跨進(jìn)了UCL、多倫多大學(xué)、墨爾本大學(xué)、悉尼大學(xué)、倫敦藝術(shù)大學(xué)等世界名校的大門。我也被評為了蘇州市民辦教育優(yōu)秀教師、優(yōu)秀教師、優(yōu)秀班主任。
I’ve accumulated rich experience in DP program managing after going through two rounds of DP authorization. I’m also experienced in managing courses in programs like Cambridge, Sino-Canadian, and IFD. Lots of my students were successfully admitted into world top universities such as UCL, University of Toronto, The University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney, UAL, etc. I was also accredited as the Outstanding Teacher in Suzhou private education, Outstanding Teacher, and Outstanding Homeroom Teacher.
在蘇城外總校長的引領(lǐng)下,全體教師學(xué)習(xí)IB的教育理念與教學(xué)法。IBDP、劍橋IGCSE,A-level、中加雙文憑項目以及IFD四大項目齊頭并進(jìn),升學(xué)指導(dǎo)中心、圖書資源中心、藝術(shù)中心、體育中心、科技中心資源配備齊全。高中部師資隊伍由資深國際學(xué)校校長、名教師、國際教師,海歸教師,以及具有專業(yè)教師資格的國際教師組成。他們英語功底扎實(shí),勝任雙語授課,學(xué)術(shù)功底深厚,教學(xué)研發(fā)能力強(qiáng),教學(xué)成績顯著,既懂得育分,更懂得育人。學(xué)校也非常注重教師的職業(yè)發(fā)展。各個項目的官方工作坊、教育論壇、校際教研、校內(nèi)工作坊、出國培訓(xùn)等機(jī)也讓我更加快速地成長。
Under the leadership of SCFLS general principal, all teachers are encouraged to learn about IB educational philosophy and approaches to teaching. The four international programs—IBDP, Cambridge IGCSE, A-level, Sino-Canadian and IFD are in full swing. The University Counseling Centre, Library and Resource Centre, Art Centre, Sports Centre, Science and Technology Centre are all well equipped. The senior high school has brought together a faculty team composed of renowned principal and teachers with rich working experience in international schools, outstanding overseas returnees and international teachers with professional qualifications. With either rich domestic teaching or overseas study experience, they have solid English skills and are competent for bilingual teaching. Profound in academic background and strong in teaching and research, they are good at both teaching and educating. The school also pays much attention to teachers’ professional development, with all kinds of official workshops, education forum, inter-school teaching and research, in-school workshops, training abroad organized, allowing me to have a rapid development.
在蘇城外,校長與校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的專業(yè)、同事們的敬業(yè)讓我深受感動。我會把自己的滿腔熱情揮灑在蘇城外這片土地上,和大家一起圓孩子們的名校夢!
I am deeply touched by the professionalism of general principal and school level leaders, and the devotion of our colleagues in Soochow Foreign Language School. I shall devote myself to this school, helping our students to realize their dream of being admitted into world top universities.
