CAS是Creativity、Activity、Service三個(gè)英文單詞首字母的縮寫，也就是創(chuàng)意、行動(dòng)和服務(wù)。

創(chuàng)意指的是藝術(shù)及其他涉及創(chuàng)造性思維的經(jīng)驗(yàn)（學(xué)習(xí)樂器、戲劇表演等）；

行動(dòng)指的是有助于形成健康生活方式的體育鍛煉（籃球、棒球、武術(shù)、健美操等）；

服務(wù)指的是對(duì)他人有所貢獻(xiàn)的無(wú)償和志愿服務(wù)（如社區(qū)服務(wù)、組建環(huán)保小組等）。

The abbreviation for CAS is Creativity, Activity and Service.Creativity refers to cultivate creative thinking such as learning dramatic performance. Activity means sports exercises which help to form healthy lifestyle. Service refers to voluntary service in community or organizations.

SCFLS初中部目前已開設(shè)38門CAS課程，形成了一系列具有蘇城外特色的活動(dòng)。

項(xiàng)目有3D打印、電子百拼、創(chuàng)意美術(shù)、裝飾畫、油畫、武術(shù)、聲樂、管弦樂、管樂合奏、鋼琴、啦啦操、田徑、排球、棒球、高爾夫球、游泳、數(shù)學(xué)CAS、英語(yǔ)趣味配音、英語(yǔ)情景劇等。

There are 38 courses in CAS curriculum for junior high school students and CAS helps to form a series of characteristic activities. For example, we have 3-D printing course, oil paintings, creative arts and so on.

Students follow their hearts to choose the courses they interested in and the curriculum helps them to develop several kinds of abilities. Let’s see their various courses together.

借助數(shù)字化的產(chǎn)品，學(xué)生根據(jù)項(xiàng)目主題制出草圖，利用建模軟件設(shè)計(jì)出模型。在此過程中，學(xué)生要綜合運(yùn)用數(shù)學(xué)、計(jì)算機(jī)、美術(shù)等知識(shí)，充分發(fā)揮空間想象力。設(shè)計(jì)好的3D模型與3D打印技術(shù)相結(jié)合，利用其快速成型的特點(diǎn)，將3D模型轉(zhuǎn)換為立體物品。

Students make a sketch with the help of digital products and design the model with modeling software. They need to use Maths, Computer and Arts knowledge to design the 3-D works. Students are proud of their achievements after they finish their works.

用純銅扣扣接的方式連接電子元器件，在較短的時(shí)間里制作成完整的電子作品，模擬各種電路的再現(xiàn)，合上開關(guān)就能聽到或看到的聲、光、電等直觀效果。這就是電子百拼課程。

Electronic Puzzle course helps students to make electronic works with the knowledge of Physics and they can enjoy the visual effect of sounds, light and electricity.

從構(gòu)圖和調(diào)色兩大最基礎(chǔ)的課程講起，同時(shí)在課程中講解一些裝飾畫中最基礎(chǔ)的筆法。裝飾色彩研究的是物質(zhì)的固有色、光源色與環(huán)境色的相互關(guān)系，以及它們所構(gòu)成的豐富的色彩變化。

Students learn from composition and colour modulation this semester and also learn the mutual relation between ambient color and light color. So class is finished with the subject-light and shadow relationship this term.

管弦樂社團(tuán)以學(xué)習(xí)探討為主，在校內(nèi)外的各項(xiàng)大型活動(dòng)中都有參與表演，這不僅使同學(xué)們?cè)谡莆占寄艿耐瑫r(shí)，又可將所學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容有自我鍛煉展現(xiàn)的機(jī)會(huì)。

Orchestral Music Club not only helps students master skills but also get the opportunities for self-training. It can exercise brain’s reaction speed and increase mental clarity. 

游泳是重要的體育項(xiàng)目之一。SCFLS今年第一年開展游泳項(xiàng)目，同學(xué)們每次上課都是翹首以盼，熱情滿滿，認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)游泳的每一個(gè)動(dòng)作。本學(xué)期主要針對(duì)自由泳的教學(xué)，標(biāo)準(zhǔn)系統(tǒng)化的學(xué)習(xí)自由泳的打腿、手臂、換氣。經(jīng)過一學(xué)期的不斷學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生從不會(huì)到會(huì)、從會(huì)游到游得遠(yuǎn)、從游得遠(yuǎn)到游得標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，每一位學(xué)生都取得了極大的進(jìn)步。

Swimming is one of important sports and it is the first year for students to take the swimming course in our school. The course aims to help students learn standard swimming routine. Students make great progress this term.

高爾夫是一項(xiàng)優(yōu)雅健康的紳士運(yùn)動(dòng)，它本身的英文單詞GOLF《GREEN（綠色）,OXYGEN（氧氣）,LIGHT（陽(yáng)光）,FRENDSHIP（友誼）》就包含了：在綠色的草地上沐浴著燦爛的陽(yáng)光，呼吸著新鮮的空氣收獲著友誼與成就。高爾夫不但可以強(qiáng)身健體，培養(yǎng)優(yōu)雅穩(wěn)重的舉止和氣質(zhì)，生活獨(dú)立性和判斷思考能力，良好的心理抗壓素質(zhì)。

Golf is an elegant sport and the word itself means Green, Oxygen, Light and Friendship. Golf sport not only helps player make a strong body but also cultivate steady temperament.

棒球是一項(xiàng)講究合作，需要靠團(tuán)體取得勝利的運(yùn)動(dòng)。棒球分為進(jìn)攻方與防守方，不僅僅是要接傳球更要進(jìn)行強(qiáng)勢(shì)的打棒得分，現(xiàn)在的他們打棒打得有模有樣，比賽時(shí)球場(chǎng)上充斥著孩子們的呼喊聲！嚴(yán)寒中，學(xué)生們懂得了堅(jiān)持的意義。

Baseball rules are complicated and it pays attention to cooperation. The sport also needs teamwork. Students are interested in the baseball according to this term’s course. They can play well now and students know the importance of insisting.

豐富多彩的CAS課程開闊了同學(xué)們的視野，拓寬了知識(shí)面，讓學(xué)生在各個(gè)方面得到均衡發(fā)展，完美地體現(xiàn)了SCFLS"全納"和“全人”的教育理念。

緊張的課堂學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)間之外，CAS特色課程無(wú)疑又帶領(lǐng)同學(xué)們進(jìn)入了一座充滿藝術(shù)氣息且活力四射的智慧殿堂，愿孩子們?cè)谶@座殿堂里繪出最精彩的畫作，留下最美麗的青春。

Colourful CAS courses broaden students’ horizons and the scope of knowledge. Students make balanced development and the course embodies the idea of Inclusive and Holistic. We wish students can enjoy their youth in the process of learning CAS courses.
