      SCFLS | 歌舞青春 獻(xiàn)禮70周年

      金秋九月,桂花飄香。

      September, the golden season of the year, is filled with fragrance of osmanthus.


      蘇州外國語學(xué)校相城校區(qū)藝術(shù)舞蹈團(tuán)參加了由相城區(qū)舉辦的2019年《慶國慶迎中秋各界人士聯(lián)誼會(huì)》活動(dòng)。

      It was just in this time that SCFLS Dancing Club participated in the 2019 Celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day held by Xiangcheng District.


      現(xiàn)場(chǎng),舞蹈團(tuán)的孩子們與國際教師共同用精彩的歌舞,為佳節(jié)慶賀,向70周年獻(xiàn)禮,贏得了相城區(qū)委區(qū)政府領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的一致好評(píng)!

      The excellent dance performed by the students of the dancing club and international teachers won great applause from the leaders of the Xiangcheng District government.


      獨(dú)在異鄉(xiāng)非異客,對(duì)于舞蹈團(tuán)里這群可愛可敬的國際教師來說,這個(gè)中秋節(jié)他們過得并不孤單。在藝術(shù)中心的指導(dǎo)下,國際教師們利用休息時(shí)間和舞蹈團(tuán)的孩子們一同排練,一同揮灑汗水,并在師生共同努力下完成了作品《舞動(dòng)蘇城》。

      Though are these international teachers far away from their home, they spent a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival this year. Under the guidance of the Art Centre, these international teachers sacrificed their break time to rehearse with the kids, and finally accomplished the performance—Dancing Soochow together.

      《舞動(dòng)蘇城》這支舞蹈充分融合了街舞、印度舞、爵士舞、拉丁舞等不同舞種元素,形式多樣,輕快活潑,淋漓盡致得展現(xiàn)了我校國際多元文化與東西方經(jīng)典藝術(shù)相融合的藝術(shù)教育理念!

      Various types of dance, such as street dance, Indian dance, jazz, and Latin dance are fully integrated in this dance. This flexible, brisk and lively dance demonstrates the educational philosophy of art in our school, which is to integrate the international multiculturalism with both the Eastern and Western classic arts. 


      藝術(shù)是人類進(jìn)行自我表達(dá)的一種普遍形式,同時(shí)也是一種獨(dú)特的認(rèn)識(shí)方式,每個(gè)孩子天生都擁有藝術(shù)的心靈。

      The arts are a universal form of human expression and a unique way of knowing. Every child is born with the artistic talent.


      蘇外相城校區(qū)藝術(shù)舞蹈團(tuán)自2018年成立以來,受到了家長和孩子們的廣泛關(guān)注和喜愛!在這一年多里,孩子們利用cas課時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí),研究舞蹈技巧,刻苦練習(xí),先后完成了街舞、古典舞、民族舞等多支舞蹈作品。在今年,舞蹈團(tuán)還將更新課程,打造精品社團(tuán),將更多優(yōu)秀的舞蹈作品展現(xiàn)給大家!

      Since the foundation of SCFLS Dancing Club in 2018, wide attention and affection have been received from both parents and students. For over a year, the students have been learning the basic knowledge, inquiring into the dancing skills, and practicing with great effort by taking CAS courses. They successfully performed several dances, such as the street dance, classical dance, folk dance and etc. This year, the dancing club is going to update the course, build a “Quality” club, and bring more excellent dances to the stage!


      藝術(shù)學(xué)習(xí)三階段

      The Three Phases of Art Learning


      在小學(xué)PYP項(xiàng)目中,學(xué)習(xí)藝術(shù)以及通過藝術(shù)開展學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)兒童的全面發(fā)展至關(guān)重要,可以有效培養(yǎng)他們的創(chuàng)造力、批判性思考能力、解決問題的技能以及社交互動(dòng)能力。

      In the PYP program, it is crucial and effective for children to achieve balanced development, and cultivate their abilities in creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and social interaction by learning art and learning through art.


      中學(xué)項(xiàng)目的藝術(shù)教育則旨在發(fā)展學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和實(shí)踐收獲,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生繼續(xù)藝術(shù)發(fā)展。

      The aim of art education of the middle school program lies on developing students’ learning and achieving through practices, and inspiring students’ further development in art.


      這將有利于學(xué)生進(jìn)入高中項(xiàng)目DP課程,學(xué)習(xí)高級(jí)水平或者普通水平的視覺藝術(shù)、舞蹈、音樂、戲劇、電影、文學(xué)與表演藝術(shù)等課程,為升入世界名校做好準(zhǔn)備。

      What is mentioned above will all benefit the students to be enrolled in the senior high school DP program. It will prepare the students to be admitted to world top universities by learning HL or SL courses, such as Visual Arts, Dance, Music, Theatre, Film, Literature and performance and etc.


      目前,學(xué)校已建成并投入使用的舞蹈房、音樂室、美術(shù)室、鋼琴房、樂器排練教室等藝術(shù)類功能場(chǎng)室達(dá)21間,開設(shè)藝術(shù)類課程和CAS活動(dòng)課程達(dá)35項(xiàng)。同時(shí)設(shè)有學(xué)生舞蹈團(tuán)、合唱團(tuán)及正在籌建中的學(xué)生管樂團(tuán)和教師合唱團(tuán),配置藝術(shù)類教師20多名。

      At present, our school has put 21 functional rooms into use, namely the dancing room, music room, art room, piano room and instrument rehearsal room, with about 35 art courses and CAS activities set up. In the meantime, we’ve successfully established the student dancing club and chorus club, while the student orchestra and teacher choir are still under preparation. About 20 art teachers have joined our school.

      重視藝術(shù)教育,也是蘇外相城校區(qū)踐行“全納 全人”教育理念的一部分??傂iL李春雷先生這樣詮釋該理念:

      Valuing art education is another reflection of practicing the school educational philosophy—“Inclusive Holistic”. General Principal Mr. David Li offers his illustrations as follows:

      什么是全納教育?

      What is inclusive education ?

      “全納教育”首先要體現(xiàn)公平性,每一個(gè)孩子都有均等的學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì),得到平等對(duì)待;其次要體現(xiàn)差異性,每一個(gè)孩子都能得到老師的關(guān)注,得到尊重,教學(xué)內(nèi)容和學(xué)習(xí)方法以及資源配置和教學(xué)評(píng)估是不一樣的;第三要體現(xiàn)有效性,每一個(gè)學(xué)生已有的知識(shí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)和學(xué)習(xí)認(rèn)知能力都能得到重視,每一個(gè)孩子都得到提升。從某種意義上講,就是培養(yǎng)“全科均衡發(fā)展的人”?!叭{教育”把教育目標(biāo)定位為:通過量身定制和最適合的教學(xué)評(píng)手段,摒棄整體忽略,專注個(gè)體,靜待花開,實(shí)現(xiàn)人人成才。

      The first thing that “Inclusive Education” should reflect is that every child can have an equal chance to learn and be equally treated. Then comes to differentiation, which means that teachers can pay attention and respect to each child with different teaching contents, approaches to learning, resource allocation and assessment. Effectiveness is another thing to be taken into consideration. The prior knowledge and ability of cognitive learning of every student can be valued, focusing on the improvement and development of each child. In a sense, we aim at cultivating “balanced” people. The teaching objectives of “Inclusive Education” are to focus on individuals and avoid overall neglect by adopting tailor-made and best-fit teaching and assessment methods.

      什么是全人教育?

      What is holistic education?

      “全人教育”首先是人之為人的教育,其次是知識(shí)技能的教育,第三就是和諧發(fā)展心智,以形成健全人格的教育。從某種意義上講,“全人教育”就是培養(yǎng)“全人”或“完人”的教育?!叭私逃卑呀逃繕?biāo)定位為:在健全人格的基礎(chǔ)上,促進(jìn)學(xué)生的全面發(fā)展,讓個(gè)體生命的潛能得到自由、充分、全面、和諧、持續(xù)發(fā)展。簡(jiǎn)言之,“全人教育”的目的就是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生成為有道德、有知識(shí)、有能力、和諧發(fā)展的“全人”。

      “Holistic Education” primarily refers to the education of being a person, then the intellectual and mental education of the person. In a sense, we aim at offering “holistic” or even “whole-person” education to the students. The teaching objectives of “Holistic Education” are to promote the balanced development of students on the basis of an adequate personality, to freely, fully, comprehensively, harmoniously and sustainably realize the potential of individuals. In short, “Holistic Education” is to make students “holistic” people with morality, knowledge, ability, and harmonious development.


      藝術(shù)是生命的彩虹,

      是神秘大自然賜予純美心靈的恩典。

      我們相信,

      每個(gè)孩子都具有藝術(shù)家的天賦,

      期待SCFLS的學(xué)子們?cè)谌{舞臺(tái)上綻放

      Art is the rainbow of our lives, and a gift bestowed upon us from the nature.  We believe every child has the artistic gifts and talents, and we look forward to the development of all SCFLS students on this inclusive platform!
