10月21日，蘇城外國語學(xué)校迎來了一群遠道而來的小客人——來自新加坡UWC世界聯(lián)合書院的30名師生到我校進行交流學(xué)習(xí)。副校長李方華先生全程參與接待。

On October 21st, Soochow Foreign Language School ushered in a group of small guests from afar - 30 teachers and students from the UWC South East Asia to exchange and study.

雖然只有短短的半天參訪時間，但是精彩的課堂、友好的師生、國際化的校園環(huán)境、隨處可聞的英語對話交流，讓新加坡的小客人們既充滿著好奇，又感到分為的親切！

Although it was only a half-day visit, the interesting class, friendly, global campus environment and English conversation everywhere all left the students deep impression.

新加坡國際學(xué)校UWC，即東南亞世界聯(lián)合學(xué)院（UWCSEA）。成立于1971年，是亞洲首家聯(lián)合世界書院，在新加坡有兩個校區(qū)：杜佛和淡濱尼。它被公認是新加坡以及全球的領(lǐng)先國際學(xué)校之一，目前在新加坡排名第一。

Founded in 1971 as Singapore International School, UWC South East Asia became a full member of the UWC. UWCSEA extends over two campuses: The Dover Campus and East Campus. It’s considered to be one of the top international schools in Singapore and all over the world.

下面，讓我們一起來看看這群UWC的孩子們都體驗了哪些精彩的活動吧！

Let's take a look at what exciting activities they have experienced!

新加坡的同學(xué)們跟隨小學(xué)部國學(xué)老師一起感受了一堂充滿中國文化氣息的國學(xué)課堂，從百家姓到三字經(jīng)，再到論語，中華文化的博大精深讓同學(xué)們連連稱贊，學(xué)得不亦樂乎。

The students and teachers experienced Mr. Niu’s Sinology class. From the Book of Family Names to Three Character Classic, and to the Analects of Confucius, the profound Chinese culture has impressed them a lot.

體驗完了精彩的國學(xué)課后，新加坡的同學(xué)們來到了操場上，和蘇城外全體師生一起參加了隆重的升旗儀式。

After the interesting Sinology Class, the students came to the playground to attend the flag raising ceremony with all the local students and teachers. 

當(dāng)國歌聲奏響的那一刻，小編悄悄看到，新加坡的小伙伴們都自覺摘下帽子，無聲注目著隨風(fēng)飄揚的五星紅旗，不自覺流露出的這個小細節(jié)，表達了孩子們內(nèi)心的尊重和友好！

After the interesting Sinology Class, the students came to the playground to attend the flag raising ceremony with all the local students and teachers. When the national anthem was played, I found that all the visiting students took off their hats and quietly watched the rising flag to show their respect.

嗨翻天的英語對話環(huán)節(jié)，讓小伙伴們深感學(xué)校對學(xué)生語言教育的重視和用心！

And the exciting Monday English session has made them feel that the school attaches great importance to students' language education.

30名同學(xué)根據(jù)年級被分成了2個隊伍，分別融入到我們的高中部和初中部，體驗不同學(xué)部的課程。

The thirty students were divided into two teams integrated into our Junior Middle School and Senior High School to experience different courses.

一部分同學(xué)在初中部語文汪老師的帶領(lǐng)下，一起學(xué)習(xí)了課文《散步》，領(lǐng)悟了尊老愛幼、珍愛親情、珍惜生命這三點主要思想。

Year 6, 7 and 8 students studied the text "Walk" and comprehend the three main ideas of respecting the old, loving the young, loving the family, and cherishing life.

在高中部那邊，卻是一番截然不同的景象，5名初三的新加坡同學(xué)在高中部化學(xué)王老師的帶領(lǐng)下，和中國同學(xué)們一起學(xué)習(xí)了元素周期表。不知道同學(xué)們都背下來了多少呢？

As for the senior high school’s class, it’s a totally different scene. The 5 Year 9 students studied the periodic table with Chinese students.

在課程接近尾聲的時候，小伙伴們都是意猶未盡，雖然半天的時間非常短暫，但是帶給大家的觸動卻是發(fā)自內(nèi)心的。在臨走之際，每個小組的同學(xué)都寫了一封信送給學(xué)校，表達了小伙伴們心中的感謝與觸動！

Although short as it was, these students have gained a lot. They made new friends, and knew new teachers here. Before they left, the students of every group wrote a letter to the school, so let’s see what they say to us.

看著一段段暖心的文字，相信這段回憶永遠珍藏在大家的心中。

Reading the letters, I believe this memory will be kept in their hearts.

課程結(jié)束后，總校長李春雷先生與學(xué)生、帶隊老師們親切交流。

After the courses, General Principal Mr. David Li, had cordial exchange with the visiting students and teachers.

總校長親切詢問了小伙伴們的心得和收獲，并表示歡迎孩子們有機會再來蘇城外學(xué)習(xí)交流，交到更多朋友，學(xué)到更多知識，收獲更多友誼！

The general principal asked the students about their experience and harvest, and welcomed them to visit our school again in the future to make more friends, learn more and harvest friendship!

學(xué)校為來訪的小伙伴們準備了豐盛的自助午餐，中西合璧，美味可口，大家紛紛表示非常好吃，五星好評！

The school also prepared wonderful buffet for the visiting students and teachers.  

Although the halfday visit is very short it had a perfect ending. The students of UWCSEA reluctantly said goodbye to the our students. Hope they could have a bright future and we look forward to see them again next time.
