做學(xué)生是最幸福的事——終身學(xué)習(xí)的PYP教師

Adhered to the Mission Statement “Education for life”, Soochow Foreign Language School firmly believes that learning and growth never ends. 近日,幼兒園和小學(xué)部共6名教師,前往上海西華外籍人員子女學(xué)校進(jìn)行為期三天的IB華東區(qū)域培訓(xùn)。

In the classroom of PYP induction, the workshop leaders use various strategies to help the new teachers understand the key elements of IB and PYP in just half a day, like using Venn diagram to compare IB and the school's mission statement, text matching to understand the IB learner profile, picture books classification to know the six transdisciplinary themes, group reading to collect the approaches to learning, and etc.
在概念驅(qū)動的課堂上,這群“學(xué)生”可不好“忽悠”。教師們期待著培訓(xùn)官能夠幫助他們解決“概念”這個“老大難”問題。
In the Concept Driven class, these "students" were not easy to "fool". They’re teachers with more than one year of PYP experience and were looking forward to solving the "big problem" of "concept" with the help of the workshop leaders.
IB教學(xué)法強(qiáng)調(diào)教學(xué)要對概念進(jìn)行探索,從而加深對學(xué)科的理解,幫助學(xué)生建立各種聯(lián)系并做到學(xué)以致用。培訓(xùn)官就什么是概念?為什么要概念驅(qū)動?如何實(shí)現(xiàn)概念驅(qū)動?層層深入、一一解決老師們曾經(jīng)的困惑。
The Approaches to Teaching in IB believes concepts are explored in order to both deepen disciplinary understanding and to help students make connections and transfer learning to new contexts. The workshop leaders guided the teachers and explored "What is concept?" "Why do we need to adopt concept driven teaching?" and "How to realize it?" in depth.
我們才華橫溢的“學(xué)生們”也不負(fù)眾望,分別用一種物品,一幅畫等形式來展現(xiàn)他們的理解。
Our talented "students" also lived up to the expectations and showed their understandings in the forms of goods and drawings.
雖然培訓(xùn)側(cè)重點(diǎn)不同,但每個課堂都以各種活動貫穿,思考、合作、討論、反思、分享等是課堂的主旋律。
Although the focus of training is different, each class was run through with various activities. Thinking, collaboration, discussion, reflection and sharing are the main themes of the workshops.
學(xué)術(shù)報告廳中,老師們再一次上演身份互換。在小學(xué)部陳安琪老師的UOI展示課《生活中的職業(yè)》上,二十位老師扮演二年級的學(xué)生,以全新的視角來體驗(yàn)探究課堂。

一個小時的觀摩課結(jié)束了,大家都迎來了“Aha Moment”,角色互換的學(xué)習(xí),讓老師們感受到作為一名“學(xué)生”,在真實(shí)的探究課堂上如何開展思考和學(xué)習(xí)。
After the demo class, everyone embraced their "Aha Moment". They realized, recognized or understood what a real inquiry class could look like, sound like and feel like.
各年級組進(jìn)行了UOI協(xié)作備課,全員參與,集思廣益,老師們共同設(shè)計教案,交流當(dāng)前授課中的經(jīng)驗(yàn),分享學(xué)生課堂上的案例,探討改善提高方案。
Each Year group carried out UOI collaborative planning. Everyone participated in the brainstorming, lesson planning, and sharing experience on how to improve and apply their knowledge into practice.
最喜歡參加這樣的工作坊,學(xué)習(xí)是最快樂的事,做學(xué)生是最幸福的事,送給辛苦準(zhǔn)備,分享,授課的老師們。雖然是周末,但是有這么多的干貨,值了!
對于一個剛接觸IB教育的新人來說,UOI課都講些什么?如何設(shè)計教學(xué)?怎樣實(shí)施教學(xué)?這些問題一直困擾著我。這次的培訓(xùn)課給了我諸多啟發(fā),讓我對UOI課的教學(xué)又有了新的認(rèn)識。以“學(xué)生”的視角再來體會UOI課堂,這種換位思考,更讓人感受到國際教育視角的獨(dú)特性,全面性和發(fā)展性。
這次的培訓(xùn)不僅高屋建瓴,讓我們加深了對IB的理解,而且與時俱進(jìn),學(xué)習(xí)了最新的文件,將教育理念與教學(xué)實(shí)際融合在一起。激發(fā)了我進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí)的興趣,為以后的教學(xué)提供了新的思路!
在這個瞬息萬變的時代,只有保持終身學(xué)習(xí)的能力,才能跟上時代的步伐!
